Actually Rachel and I tried the vacuum cleaner, but our attachment had way too narrow of a head for the huge wasp and I was afraid that if we messed it up, it'd be mad and come after us. For other bugs that can't fly out and sting you, a vacuum cleaner is a wonderful idea. It's good to hear from you :) Haha aunt Karen! It works great! I would never think to squish them again. He's pretty good at catching flies, wasps, moths, cicadas, etc. The only thing I give a good slap at is a mosquito biting into me! I hope you don't have fire ants in Iowa. They are horrible! Just this week I got about 10 bites on my feet. Boy, do they itch and burn and ooze!
