“You won’t have to strain when you look into my eyes”
Anyways.
It’s update time in the world of Diane!
And if you are listening to the song, you are hearing nintendo noises? Yeah? Well that’s no coincidence!
Rachel, for her birthday, got a Nintendo Wii!!! Whee!!!

Yes yes! If you don’t know what this is… well look at this commercial:
My family never had any gaming devices (no playstations or whathaveyounots) in our family… but this one is rather interesting… because you don’t stay seated on your butt the whole time – it’s much more interactive than that!
And to top it off we now have my favorite toy in the world: a wii fit. You can work up a sweat with the exercises they have on this! And it works to help your body with coordination and balance.
Anyways, I don’t think many of you care about the new wii as Rachel and I do, so I will talk about something else
.
The new job is going really well! It’s much MUCH MUCH better than my previous job.
I love my residents! I’m adopting all of them as my grandparents. One of my residents asks me to call her “grandma” (I told her that I don’t have any grandmas anymore) and she makes sure to give me a goodnight kiss and tells me she loves me every night I work. She’s adorable!
Next Friday (can you believe it) I start working ALONE… meaning, I’m no longer in training anymore! I’m scared to death! I’m used to just following someone around and doing what they tell me to do.
Oh and not to forget, thursday is a HUGE day for me, so remember me in your prayers. That’s when I take the State CNA test… 45 minutes of a written test, 45 minutes of a skills test. If I don’t pass it, I don’t get Certified, which would majorly suck! But I am rather confident that I will do just fine! I could use prayers anyways!
And yes, this also means that on Wednesday I am done taking classes through Northwest Iowa Community College. Though I have to say I’m going to miss it a lot! I grew to love being with some of the people in my class.
Here are my two favorite classmates:

Yup. the two men of the class. they are giving some mannequin hands a manicure. Yes, that is one of our skills.
Out of our class of 11, 3 are pregnant. The rest of the ladies have all had a kid. I almost went insane over the amount of time they spent about talking about pregnancy and babies and… it got overbearing. So I’m glad there were guys in the class to talk about real things. Like food.
Anyways, I’ve been working out a lot more lately (thanks to the wii fit!) and have even been able to run outside on a few occasions! Though Iowa weather is anything but stable. We’d have about 4 or 5 days of sun and warmth, but then all the sudden we get snow or ice storms.
Here’s my bike from just last week!:

Let’s just say that I’m counting down the days until I am in temperate weather again!
Ok well I feel like I’ve talked all of your guy’s ears off. So I’m done!
Have a great week, everybody!

Wow, I need Wii fit!!!! Looks like a great way to get some good exercise.
Actually, Diane, when we lived in Chicago, Dad bought Jonny a Sega gaming system. Jonny played it so much that dad got rid of it because he said it would turn Jonny into an oatmeal brain! Plus, we had at least one gameboy, so we did have something growing up ;o)
Who gave Rach the Wii? Pretty cool. We have one but I think Patrick plays it the most. We’re usually too busy :-/
Hey! So I was just sitting here listening to Phil Collin’s and thought of you!! But I can’t check up on you, because you don’t update!
