“I know I felt like this before, now I’m feeling it even more”
My sister would be a good witness to tell you that I’ve been listening to this song (Dreams by the Cranberries) a lot lately. Therefore it’s on this blog. However, it is also very relevant to my life.
First of all let me scream the good news out!
I’M DONE WITH CULVER’S!!!!!! FINITO! FERTIG! ADIOS!
There are some things I’m gonna miss… and I just loaded all my camera phone pictures so you can check ‘em out.
Here is my favorite regulars – Russ and Geneva. They are soo funny and make sure that they talk to me every time they visit Culver’s. They came to eat on my last day just so they could make sure to say goodbye to me!

Also I’ve become friends with many of my coworkers. Here’s Marcos… he doesn’t speak very good english, but we’ve become buddies regardless:

we used to open the restaurant every sunday morning together. I’m going to miss that a little bit.

On my very last night of working at Culver’s…. I accidentally flooded the place! A drain got clogged, a faucet was left running in a plugged sink AND a big bucket of mop water got overturned… all around the same time! I swear it wasn’t on purpose!!!

Yeah… an inch or two of standing water is what you see on the ground. It almost killed one of my coworkers!
And one of the custard barrels broke down on us. Causing us to resort to really physical cleaning methods.

Yup. Of course everything goes wrong on my last night closing. *Sigh*.

Those were two of my favorite people to close with, Alex and Sheena. We had story sharing time together. Truly wonderful people, I tell ya! I’ll miss both of them a lot!
What I won’t miss are those silly uniforms! I’m going to be turning my back in tomorrow with a big smile and joy in my heart!
To replace them, I get to wear SCRUBS!!! (I’m very excited about this!)
Here is a poor photo my little collection so scrub tops that I’ve been collecting in honor of this occasion:

Oh the colors! Oh the comfort! I’m never working in a uniform again!
Oddly enough, recently I’ve been feeling more cheerful, more active and more desirous to live a good life. I can’t wait to begin working in the nursing home (I START THURSDAY!).
I’m still taking CNA classes and those are a blast! Our class is funny… well most of our class. We have a lot of anal retentive people that need to chillax. But I stay well away from them. I hear that being uptight can cause arterial schlerosis!
Here is what we do… this is my new friend Audrey, and she is brushing my teeth.

I hear that we get to try feeding each other soon! Seriously can’t wait!
I don’t remember the last time I put so many !!!!’s in a post!
I’ve been walking and running a lot, eating healthy, and making good life choices for a healthier soul and body.

Quitting Culver’s and becoming a CNA is a part of the process.
Oh by the way: I was going through a digital compter photo album the other day and I found this picture:

Awww I miss my Schmutzig… but she now lives in a very good home! My mom gave her away to her long-lost friend from high school… and she now has both a German and Japanese name! She is now Schmutzig-Kinako-mochi Feucht-Nakamura! I am proud of my baby kitten. I hope she brings as much joy to her new family’s life as she did to me!
Well folks, not much else to say, but I hope all of you are doing well out there!
Much Love, the Deedles
