Diane’s World

…many enter, few come out the same

“It’s good to be in love… because every colour goes where you do” (Frou Frou)

I had quite the adventurous weekend.

Friday:
Hee hee.

Well, as the last post suggested I was REALLY tired.

So after class… I went to bed.

Yes. I slept.

A Lot.

(wow, this post might not take as long as I thought)

Saturday:

Umm… Woke up.

I cleaned the room and washed out the kitchen.

Then me, Amy, and Jason took a really, really long walk. (You can just assume by now that everything I do is with Amy and Jason unless I say otherwise.)

We started out with F.A.O. Schwarz - the huge toy store in the movie “Big” with Tom Hanks

If you don’t know already, Tom is my favorite actor.

And my feet have touched where Tom Hank’s has!!!

We had a little too much fun in this toy store - we probably looked like 5 year olds with all the excitement over the toys.

But most importantly we made a lot of new friends:

We continued down 5th Ave. and before we knew it we were strolling through the heart of Central Park.

I like Central park! The most of a horizon I’ve seen for a while, and its so pretty.

Here is Amy and I in Central Park:

Isn’t this the oddest thing you’ve ever seen?  Those buildings look very missplaced.

And I freaked out when I saw Strawberry fields.

Jason and Amy weren’t very excited.

Darn non-Beatles fans.

Then we walked around everywhere.

We found Buttercup Bakery  - a famous cupcake shop.

Then we walked down to Times Square, and stopped by the Hershey factory for fun. We smelled a lot of chocolate, and I guess we got high on it because we started taking some really weird pictures of ourselves.

Here’s one to give you an idea:

Ok so yeah.

Then we went to eat.

Then we went to coffee.

Then we went to Tasti-D-Lite, a really popular frozen yogurt kind of place. So yummy.

An episdode of “sex and the city” AND “the apprentice” was shot there, and we learned that the Olsen twins were spotted there the day before.

Then we went home and chilled.

We are that cool.

Sunday:

What a day.

I woke up at 10.

Had breakfast.

Had church with Erwin McManus.

Then Amy, Jason and I had an adventure.

I’ll give you the short version:

Took the subway:

We went to Chinatown and Little Italy.

Chinatown was bleh.

But Little Italy was WOO HOO!

We got some yummy pastries:

I magically won some Tomato Sauce. (random, I know)

Amy and Jason kicked me out of this picture because I wasn’t behaving:

Then we went to Ground Zero (WTC site)

Then we went to the statue of liberty.

Then we walked pass wall street (probably the most un-exciting street in New York)

AND THEN WE GOT FOOD!

The yummiest italian restaraunt ever.

And then we got chocolate dipped strawberries on a stick:

Yes we were very excited.

Then we got Rice Pudding from a really trendy place. (yes we do eat a lot)

There were like 25 types of pudding. We got “almond schmalmond”

Yummy.

I was very excited.

Well our feet were all dead (we just walked from chinatown to battery park and back…)

so we hit the subway home.

And we got back to our room.

And chilled.

It was great.

Today’s plans? We only have two hours of classes so I am planning to catch up on a few art museums and go shopping.

Then do homework.

I’ll be home on Saturday y’all - only one week left!!!
